Families will not want to miss this year's giveaway, offering hundreds of FREE back packs (stuffed with school supplies), exciting giveaways, plus fun family entertainment onsite at the Epicenter! Families are invited to pick up their backpacks/school supplies, and then stay for the live music, food/bowling specials, and free ice cream and free kid-friendly movie! NSGL Combine

The NSGL Fitness Combine is an obstacle course race that challenges your speed, strength, and stamina. The obstacle course will be composed of 10 stations, each having its own workout challenge. Once the race is completed the competitor with the best time will be declared the winner.

Learn to Play Soccer

  • Where: Multipurpose Fields

2023 Captain's Cup Soccer Season

  • When: Begins week of July 17 - Mon.-Thurs. evenings

  • Time: 5pm/6pm/7pm (if needed)
  • Cost: Free
  • Team Size: 15 players dress per game
  • Registration Deadline: Mon., July 10
  • League meeting: Wed., July 12 at B440 at 4pm

  • Info: This league is part of the Captain's Cup events. All teams must be from the same command, work unit and or Barracks.

Kickball Tournament

Come Kick it with us at this one-day kickball competition! Register your team at the front desk in Gym 440.

  • Where: Multipurpose Field 2, (however, games will be held on all softball fields)
  • Time: 4-8pm(Sign-in begins at 4pm, games start at 4:30. Games are 30-minutes long - single elimination.)

Captain's Cup Tails and Ales 5K Run/2 Mile Walk

  • When: Tues., July 25
  • Starts From:Great Lakes Brew Club, B140
  • Time: 4:30pm
  • Cost: Free
  • Eligibility:Open to all base personnel
  • Team Registration: Commands must submit a five person roster to compete in the Captain's Cup run series. Registration is due in B4 by Mon., July 24
  • Individual registrations: Not required, show up and run
  • For the 2023run season, MWR will be tracking each runner’s participation. At the end of the run season, prizes will be given to runners who participate in 2, 4, and 6 races(while supplies last - first come first serve).

Captain's Cup Golf League:

  • When: Tues. evenings starting Aug. 1 (duration: 4-6 weeks)
  • Where: Veterans Memorial Golf Course, B8400
  • Time: 4pm
  • Weekly Cost: $20 per golfer (includes 9 holes with a golf cart)

1000lb & 500lb Club

The 1000lb & 500lb Club is an exclusive weightlifting club for both male and female lifters. To become a “member” of the club, participants must perform one repetition of a squat, bench press and deadlift with a combined weight of 1000lb or more for males and 500lbs or more for females. Competitors will then be recognized on our Club Board at Gym 4 in the Warrior Zone.
